The rewards of paying attention
Last night we watched "At Bertram's Hotel", the latest Miss Marple episode of PBS's Mystery! Early on, during a busy scene in the hotel lobby, the manager, while trying to field multiple requests as near to simultaneously as possible, says into the phone, "No, I'm sorry, Miss Otis regrets, she's unable to lunch today."
No character named Miss Otis ever appears, so this was clearly just thrown in for the fun of it.

That does put me in a nostalgic bent -- for instance, whatever happened to Imperial margarine, or Figurines, for that matter? (That's my guilty secret -- owing to my steady and unrelenting diet of morning game shows in my early youth, I can still remember the full jingle to the Figurines commercial.)

Yes, I was a "High Rollers", "Magnificent Marble Machine", "Split Second", "Let's Make A Deal" child, too...

Should I be ashamed that I recognize every single show you mentioned? (Where's Money Maze?) And, let's face it, old reruns of Match Game and Password on the Game Show Network just don't cut it.
