I'm a gay man living with my husband in Cambridge and (in summer) Gloucester, MA; grew up in NYC. I used to be a software engineer, but I retired prematurely in 1998.
I grew up thinking I was going to be a classical musician and/or composer (I even majored in music at Harvard), and although that didn't happen it's remained one of the great loves of my life. I own an 85-year-old 7-foot Steinway grand, and I've been studying voice (baritone) for the last 20-odd years; I sang with a local choral group for nearly 30 (up until a couple of years ago).
Now that I'm retired, I'm catching up on my reading, playing the piano more (although not as much more as I had hoped), and doing a lot of gender-role-free contra dancing. And, of course, working in the garden in Gloucester.
