jwg finished at least the first coat of paint on the garage doors, I put together the new frame for the strawberry bed, the tiller and the lawnmower have been emptied out and put away for the winter, so there was really no longer any reason to suffer mornings in the high 30s and evenings when we dared not stray more than a few feet from the fireplace. So, after the
wedding yesterday we packed up the computers, the TiVo, and a few other necessities, and headed back to the relative heaven of central heating. We still have to go back and do some cleaning up, drain the pipes, put away garden hoses and take away perishable food, and we may yet spend another night of two in Gloucester if the weather is suitable, but home base is now officially Cambridge until next Memorial Day.
I guess October 22 is not too soon to declare summer to be over.
