Weekends just got a little better
Oct. 5th, 2008 01:36 pmFor the first time in ages, WGBH-FM (the local public radio station) has actually made a schedule change that I consider an improvement. Starting this weekend, "Classical Weekend" now runs until 11:00 AM rather than its previous 10:00 AM, which means I actually get to hear more than 20 minutes of it on those sleep-in weekend mornings (like today, after a contra dance from which we got home at 1 AM). not only that, but rather than following it with boring news programs, we have From the Top, which is often interesting and/or amusing, on Saturday, and, best of all, Says You! on Sunday. I haven't heard Says You! in ages (and it was rarely if ever on at a time when I was likely to have the radio on), and it's great fun. I can see that actually reading the Sunday newspaper before noon is going to get really difficult.
