Is LJ mad at me for some reason?

LJ has once again taken to logging me out every day and a half or so. I assume this is not because I logged out deliberately once during the last weekend of 2007. Or is it?

Do you regularly run any anti-spyware programs like Spybot Seach & Destroy, and/or Ad-Aware? IME, they both tend to "clean up" whatever cookie(s) LJ uses to manage its loging.

Not that I'm aware of. And this only started happening within the last couple of weeks.

LJ may log you out, but I'll never block you!

It's telling you to call Arthur and offer to look at some of the Mystery Hunt puzzles for help instead of LJing ;)

To look at what now?

MIT Mystery Hunt.

unlocking puzzles to get to more puzzles to get to more puzzles to eventually find the coin and win

they really need a fresh set of eyes; the team is flagging, and some ideas from people not fried could really help them

Are they allowed to just get help willy-nilly? If so, I'd take a look, though I'm not sure I'd be much help...

The puzzles are online (although they're using a printer to put things up on the wall). They would certainly take help -- there are people dropping in remotely. If you're up for anything, there's plenty; if there's a particular type of puzzle you love or excel at, then maybe they can pass that to you if they haven't solved it. There's something like 61 puzzles overall; last I heard, they were at 4 (although I think the Tichu challenge may count as another one? such a shame -- I stopped by with brownies and Salvadoran food as my contribution; unfortunately the one thing I would have been invaluable at (download the rules to a certain game, then go to HQ and beat the organizers for a hand) was unlocked shortly after I left -- and I already know the game, as does one of the teammembers. it would have been a snap!).

Mostly these are mini-puzzles that are part of larger puzzles, and figuring out how to fit them together is a puzzle in itself... so even chipping away at a couple of mini-puzzles -- or even figuring out the themes (which vary from LOLcat to Clue the board game movie six degrees to karaoke) -- would be invaluable.

Try Arthur's email at app at pobox dot com, or the team head's phone number, 603-520-0086 (Sarah). Feel free to recruit more people :)

FWIW, I've been noticing the same thing. I figured it's an artifact of the new Russian Corporate Masters.
