When we were in Christchurch, NZ, in March, we discovered that there was a softball team called the Canterbury Red Sox (Canterbury is the name of the province that includes Christchurch), whose logo, which might look a bit familiar to some folks, you may have seen as a userpic on an occasional post of ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Well, here it is again, to celebrate the fact that I received a T-shirt sporting said logo for my birthday:
(The filled-in portion of the NZ map is the province of Canterbury.) To make the shirt,jwg copied the two pieces of the image separately, and in putting them together again placed the map in a somewhat more vertically-oriented position, so that "up" is essentially northeast, rather than north. It's a very nice shirt, and obviously intended to be worn to Red Sox games. I probably should have worn it last night -- we might have gotten a better result. I'm definitely wearing it to our next game (June 1 vs. the Yankees).
