I just thought you'd want to know this: in Nelson, NZ, we're staying at the Cathedral Inn (which, by the way, is the second out of three hotels so far that are next to cathedrals), and, in fact, we are staying in The Bishop's Room.

I hope you're not bashing the bishop while you're in his room. Or her room, as NZ allows female bishops (but only has one).

The Bishop in question was the Bishop of Nelson sometime in the 19th century, and although his name escapes me at the moment he was definitely male. His spirit is apparently quiet, as we have heard no strange noises in the room.

Depends on what you mean by "encountered". We've seen large numbers of them, to be sure. A couple of them were surprisingly reluctant to leave the winding mountain road on which we encountered them, choosing instead to try to outrun the car for half a mile or so before deciding that perhaps they would be safer off the road. (Sheep are not very bright, apparently.) I think that's the nearest thing we've had to an "encounter". We've also eaten several of their children, but I do that at home too.
