Well, strictly speaking it could have been apropos of my previous post, but anyway...

At least David Eckstein got Series MVP. I take that as small consolation.

Yes. Although it serves as another reminder of One Who Got Away. (The Red Sox originally drafted Eckstein, I believe -- at least, he was in their farm system at one time -- but they gave up on him because they thought he was too small to play in the majors.)

And, as I said elsewhere, the guy I feel most happy for is Jeff Weaver.
