The pretty day

All in all, I'd just as soon not deal with snow. But when you get 6-8 inches of nice fluffy snow, and the next day is cold and absolutely clear, it all looks quite pretty for a day or so.

And it was nice of our next-door neighbor to shovel the walk in front of both our houses. We repaid them by shoveling (most of) their half of the driveway while we were doing our half. Fortunately, nice fluffy snow isn't that hard to move, and we're no expecting any more real soon, since there wouldn't be any place to put it.

Snow would be OK if (1) I didn't have to go anywhere and (2) it didn't have to be shoveled.

Speaking of neighbours, when we left there was a convertible Mini parked in that one spot to the left of your house. It had its lights still on. We rang the doorbell of the house next to yours, but nobody opened. We hope they didn't mind the dead battery too much.
