Why I don't climb mountains

Last night jwg and I went to see Touching the Void. Scary, harrowing, beautiful, incredible even if you know that it's true.

Two thoughts after seeing it:

- Mountains are for looking at.

- What were those guys thinking?

I thought that was a fantastic movie! Won't stop me from climbing a mountain, though, as long as there are no completely vertical faces to go up. The reward at the top is worth the effort to get there.

Well, as you can probably tell, the details on "what goes on" in my life are likely to be spotty. Welcome aboard -- the world can always use more Roberts!
