Apologies to [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish and readers of his journal

So I submitted a comment to [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish's question about West Virginia, and the submission was taking an inordinate amount of time to complete. So I killed the load, and reloaded the comments page to see if it had actually been posted. Imagine my surprise and horror to find no less than nine copies of said comment. I tried to start deleting them, but after one success was given an error message saying "The comment has already been deleted."

I don't pretend to understand what is happening here, but either LiveJournal or Netscape is apparently fucked up in some way. If everyone else is seeing the multiple copies, my apologies. And if nobody but me is seeing them, I apologize for wasting your time with this incomprehensible explanation.

It's okay. I found it amusing.

The trained monkeys do mess up at times. [I am referring to the progress message while listing out recently updated journals for a specific town, I see you're not a paid-up member.]

I had the same problem responding to a comment in my own journal just now.

Somebody -- I'm guessing it was [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish himself, since he has the power to do so -- has fixed it.
