In the immortal words of Anna Russell, "D'you remember the Ring?"
Well, the tickets came today. At first we were somewhat puzzled, since the stub attached to each sheet of tickets gave a total of $2000 (plus "handling"), and I assumed without close examination that this meant a grand total of $4000, and wasn't the top price (which we had requested) $1500 each? What was going on here?
Well, after looking at the web site, and noting again where the seats actually are, I realized that $2000 was the grand total. The top-price seats were evidently sold out before they got to our level of priority (Met season subscribers, for example, outrank us), so we got second-price seats. Grand Tier Row E, kind of off to the side. Not too bad. And maybe it's just as well to be spending only 2/3 as much as we expected.
