Travel destinations
Dec. 30th, 2013 10:37 amMeanwhile, just to complicate matters, there are a fair number of places in North America that require more planning than just jumping in the car (e.g., Vermont, Maine) or hopping on a train (e.g., New York City) that I'd like to do:
Washington, DC
Northern California*
Yellowstone National Park*
Austin, TX(*)
Seattle and environs (esp. Olympic Peninsula*)
Fairbanks, AK*
Pittsburgh (including the new ballpark*)
Perry, NY*
Toronto & environs
Montréal
Québec City
Gaspé Peninsula
Nova Scotia*
Prince Edward Island*
And I'm probably leaving some out. (I also haven't included the San Francisco Bay Area and Monte Toyon, which is kind of a given.) The (*) notation on Austin refers to the fact that I attended a conference there many years ago, but essentially saw nothing but the hotel.
Boy, this stuff gets complicated real fast.
