The last minute is when, again?

rscIt's very convenient having a Whole Foods a block away, but the one drawback to this particular store is that it's relatively small, and therefore can't carry as much stock as I think it should. In particular, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jwg noticed the other day that they had no ducks, and since that's what we had decided to make for Sunday's Festive Feast (is that redundant?), we needed to look elsewhere, the most obvious choice being the much larger Whole Foods on River St., which is a bit far to walk, especially with a load of groceries.
So that's where we decided to go today. It's rare for us to do much of anything before lunch, but I said I thought we should do this errand earlier because a lot of people were going to be getting out of work early and it was likely to be a real madhouse later. So we got there about noon, and almost couldn't find a parking space. The store was pretty busy, but not completely unnavigable; I shudder to think what it will be like at, say, 3:30-4:00.
The trouble with a large Whole Foods is that there's a lot more tempting stuff (they have, for instance, about three times as much cheese as the local one). There were six things on our written list, not including the duck; we ended up with four bags of stuff (although it could easily have been gotten into three if the baggers had been less timid) costing about $188.
