Cell phones are so useful
Mar. 19th, 2010 12:51 pm...if you actually, you know, use them.
jwg had a doctor's appointment late this morning. Coincidentally, I decided this morning would be a good time to go to Harvard Square to get a haircut.
Broadway Market is on the way home from Harvard Square, and also not terribly far out of the way from the medical office where our doctor works. So it's not surprising that both of us had the idea of stopping there on the way back.
I considered calling him, but thought, well, he's probably in the doctor's office, not a convenient place to take a phone call. He considered calling me, but thought... I'm not sure what.
So I went to the market and bought this and that, and as I was getting ready to get into the checkout line, there he came in the door. If he'd been a little later, we probably would have had some redundant groceries.
It's all good, though... it turned out that one of things he had planned to get was coffee, which I hadn't realized we needed.
