already said most of what I was going to say about this. I will add that I was in charge of soliciting and scheduling volunteers for the booth, which isn't actually a huge amount of work, especially as it's mostly email, but does introduce a certain degree of stress during the final week -- are we going to have enough people? Do we have shifts going uncovered? -- but people were very generous with their time and it all worked out. I can even forgive the person who called me at 7:15 AM Friday to offer her services -- those of you who know me well know that I don't consider 7:15 AM to be a time of
day.
I want to offer thanks to all the people who helped out, and especially those who put in large numbers of hours. Most of those people probably aren't reading this, but for those of you who are -- this means you,
poetrytoweasels, and especially you,
read_w and
farkanator! -- well, "thanks" doesn't really cover it, but I don't know how else to say it. It makes me happy and proud to be part of this community.
