Snowdrops!

I knew they were there, hiding under the snow, perhaps since the end of February. But now that we've had a succession of snowless, above-freezing days, there they are, their little white teardrop-buds opening up to welcome the wan but strengthening pre-spring sun.

I know we're likely not through with snow for the season (and indeed I can still see plenty of it from the window), but the snowdrops always tell me that yes, there will be spring.

I'm ready.
