(...arising from a long evening at Fenway Park.)

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish and [livejournal.com profile] fj: if you were home last night, you probably heard a lot of noise at around 11:30.

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] susandennis: it's nice to see your guys doing their job for a change.

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] bitty: I'm not sure how many more like the last two I can take. It can't be good for my blood pressure.

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] slinkr: ...um, on second thought, I'd better not say anything until after the weekend.

tell me about it. i was arguing with zzbottom last week - i was concerned about the losses to seattle and tampa bay ("if we're losing to the worst teams in baseball, this doesn't bode well for our chances against new york"), which he thought was stupid.
i dunno. this past week has been painful. thankfully, anaheim is slowing down, and that is allowing me to sleep easily.
hopefully last week was so embarassing that we'll sweep the yanks and all will be right with the world.

Could you people shut up already? I was trying on boots to see which ones worked well, and all the cheering was so trhwoing me off my own judgment.

("Well, they seem to like these...")

Dean was in Littlerockarkansaw since 8 PM or so anyway.

Well, they're certainly more fun than the homophobic ones that the hawkers on Brookline Ave. are offering, or that stupid one about the rings (which is presumably supposed to sound defiant, but to me reads as a snarl of frustration).

If you let the Fenway Park crowds dictate your fashion choices, we're going to see a very different [livejournal.com profile] fj from the one we've come to know and love.

How that boy does get around. Where was he last weekend?

And it's very nice of you to notice. We're trying... We're really trying...

Yes, but you were trying at the wrong times last week.

Well, I think we can all agree that I don't have a lot to work with... I'm doing the best I can with what I got. I can see how the memory of last week could irritate, tho.

With me. He decided not to go to camp since I was coming home from a long tiring trip and he had been gone the previous weekend to call.

[livejournal.com profile] jwg has pointed out that it could be taken to refer to the Yankees, who haven't won a World Series during the current century (using the strict definition).
