For those of you who didn't know,
jwg and I are just back from a four-week trip to Southeast Asia (Cambodia and Myanmar, with a little bit of Thailand). The trip was fabulous, but that's not what this post is about.
Now and again we were able to ascertain the weather in Boston, and were pleased to see that we were missing some Very Cold Weather.
We're rather less pleased with what appears to be about to welcome us home, especially so since we were about to get to our first contra-dance in over a month -- not only that, but an "advanced" dance with the incomparable Nils Fredland! -- and it looks very much like it's not happening (well, we already know that Nils isn't going to make it).
This is why we usually take our winter vacations in late February or early March: even though it's still winter when we get back, the end is in sight. But the scheduling of this trip was out of our hands.
