Death Comes to Pemberley

The subject heading up there is the title of a new P. D. James mystery, which I learned of from a review in today's Boston Globe. Apparently it "continues" the story of Mr and Mrs Darcy (the latter née Bennet) in a way that involves a murder in their stately home, with Mr Wickham as a suspect. Should be fun, although the review was lukewarm. This one I think I'll try to get from the library.

Three Pianos

Last night, jwg and I went to the American Repertory Theater production of Three Pianos, written, arranged, and performed by Rick Burkhardt, Alec Duffy, and Dave Malloy. It's a rather unusual play. The idea for it apparently arose when these three guys found themselves playing and singing through the entirety of Schubert's Winterreise at a post-concert party...
