Special for bratman

I've just started reading Colleen McCullough's recent mystery novel On, Off. I'm not very far into it, but I can tell you that the opening chapter (at least) takes place in a neurological research facility in which many of the experimantal animals are macaques. The donor who provided the founding endowment for the facility is identified as "the late William Parson".
