Now Christmas is really over
Jan. 21st, 2011 12:31 pmNot Jan. 4, when we got rid of the tree.
Not Jan. 16, when we finished the last of the rum balls.
Jan. 20, when we came home from Philadelphia to find the package from Lands End that contained my Christmas present to John.
The originally intended present -- a pair of slippers to replace the ones that were falling apart -- had arrived in plenty of time for the holiday. But it turned out, once I had given them to him, that they were too small, and then I dawdled for a week or so about getting them reboxed and sent back for exchange. But the replacements finally came, and they fit, and he's happy.
