In the "Miscellany" column of today's sports section:

The Mariners released veteran outfielder Eric Byrnes, two days after a late-game gaffe and bizarre exit from the stadium on a bicycle.

It goes on to explain the "late-game gaffe" (he pulled the bat back on a suicide squeeze!), but "bizarre exit on a bicycle"? (I was away over the weekend, and not checking my usual websites.)

Actually, the link that keyne provided gave me more info that I had. Our paper said he left after the game on a 'beach cruise'. I'm not up on my bicycle lingo so maybe...
